Home without a dog is just a house! And or house has just become a home! We are proud new owner of a little puppy girl named Suki. She has invaded our lives and our home three days ago and she is here to stay. Now I have to make a new recipe category – gods treats, as I am sure I will make many of them. But for now a kids treat or just a good snack on the go, when you run out of energy.

Jabolčno usnje

Dom brez psa je le hiša. In naša je ravno postala dom! Postala sva ponosna lastnika male kužike Suki. Prišla je v najino življenje in dom pred tremi dnevi in bo ostala tu. Sedaj bom morala narediti še eno kategorijo receptov – pasji priboljški, saj sem prepričana, da jih bom naredila ogromno. Za zdaj pa le otroški priboljšek ali le prigrizek za na pot, ko zmanjka energije.

The Fall is here already. A bit early, and as I am writing this, I wish my M. was home to start the fire in the fireplace. And Suki agrees with me. She is lying here on the couch, covered in blankets and is sleeping. She is an angel. I am amazed by how calm and good she is. There is almost no work with her. And she is just 9 weeks old!

Well back to the recipe. This is a new thing for me. I didn’t know about fruit leather for long time, then they started selling it in a store. But they wanted a lot of money for it. So I did some investigating and tried to make my own. I am surprised how easy and tasty this is. It is now a must in my kitchen. I take it with me as a snack when I go working. It gives you the energy, vitamins, minerals and also fibers. It takes a bit long to make it, so I recommend making more at once, since the drying takes at least 6 hours. You can use different fruits and spices. I promise to give more tested recipes, but right now I need to take my doggy out.

For one oven tray

6 apples

sugar, cinnamon

1/2 cup water

Method

Peel and core the apples and cube them. Put the apples and water in a pot and cook for half an hour to make a puree. Taste it and add sugar and cinnamon if needed. Now blend the puree and pour it on to the oven tray. I used a baking sheet to make it easier to peel of. Now put in the oven and dry it for at least 6 hours on 80°C. If it is still sticky after 6 hours, let it dry more.

Jesen je že tu. Malo prezgodaj, in ko to pišem, si želim, da bi bil moj M. doma, da bi zanetil ogenj v kaminu. In Suki se strinja z mano. Leži tu na kavču, pokrita z odejo in spi. Je mali angel. Presenečena sem, kako je mirna in pridna. Skoraj ni dela z njo. In stara je komaj 9 tednov!

No, nazaj k receptu. To je nova stvar zame. Nisem poznala sadnega usnja, potem pa so ga začeli prodajati v trgovini. Ampak so hoteli veliko denarja za to. Tako da sem naredila raziskavo in ga poskušala narediti sama. Res je enostavno in okusno. Zdaj je obvezno v moji kuhinji. Vzamem ga s seboj kot prigrizek, ko grem delati. Da ti energijo, vitamine, minerale in tudi vlakna. Traja pa vseeno nekoliko dolgo, tako da vam priporočam izdelavo večih na enkrat, ker sušenje traja vsaj 6 ur. Uporabite lahko različne vrste sadja in začimb. Obljubim, da bom objavila preizkušene recepte, ampak zdaj moram peljati mojo kužo ven.

Za en pladenj 

6 jabolk

120ml vode

Postopek

Olupi in nareži jabolka. Daš jih v lonec in doliješ vodo ter kuhaš pol ure, da dobiš čežano. Poiskusiš in dodaš sladkor in cimet, če je potrebno. Zdaj čežano spasiraš in vliješ na pladenj pečice. Uporabila sem peki papir, da se lažje prestavi. Daš v pečico in sušiš najmanj 6 ur na 80 ° C. Če je še usnje še vedno lepljivo po 6 urah, sušiš dlje.
