Bulgur burgers | Burger iz bulgurja

Bulgur, an ancient middle east food, now a part of a healthy diet in western countries. A perfect substitute for rice with less calories with lots of proteins and fibers. I must admit I have heard of it, but never knew what it is. Then  I found a recipe for bulgur burgers and bought it. And I love the taste and texture.  I will definitely use it often. It is so sunny outside that I will be short this time. If you scroll down and click the more button, you will find my version of the recipe. I made them with some guacamole (recipe coming soon) and green salad with pine seeds.

Burger iz bulgurja

Bulgur, staro živilo iz Bližnjega vzhoda, ki je sedaj del zdrave prehrane v zahodnih državah. Popoln nadomestek riža z manj kalorij in z veliko beljakovin in vlaknin. Moram priznati, da sem slišala zanj, vendar nisem vedela kaj je. Potem sem našla recept za burgerje iz bulgurja in sem ga kupila. Priznam, da mi je okus in tekstura zelo všeč. Zagotovo ga bom pogosto uporabljala. Je pa tako sončno zunaj, da bom tokrat kratka. Če ste se pomaknite navzdol in kliknite na gumb more, boste našli mojo verzijo recepta. Postregla sem jih je z nekaj guacamola (recept kmalu na voljo) in zeleno solato s pinjolami.

For 12 burgers

100g bulgur

1 can of chickpeas

a cup of fresh parsley, chives, mint leaves

1 garlic clove

salt, pepper, chilli

1 tbs flour

1 tbs bread crumbs

1 tbs coconut oil

Method

Cook bulgur in half a liter water for 10 minutes. Meanwhile process fresh herbs and garlic in a food processor and add a half of drained chickpeas and pulse 4 – 6 times. Put the mixture in a bowl and process the rest of chickpeas and add in a bowl. When bulgur is cooked, drain it well and add to the mixture. Season with salt, pepper and chilli and thicken with flour and bread crumbs. Form small burgers. In a pan heat the oil and grill the burgers for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Serve as a burger in a bun or as a main dish with some salad and guacamole.

Za 12 burgerjev

100g bulgurja

1 pločevinka čičerke

Skodelica svežega peteršilja, drobnjaka, metinih listov

1 strok česna

sol, poper, čili

1 žlica moke

1 žlica krušnih drobtin

1 žlica kokosovega olja

Postopek

Bulgur kuhamo v pol litra vode 10 minut. Medtem procesiramo sveža zelišča in česen v multipraktiku in dodamo polovico odcejene čičerke ter na hiro sesekljamo. Mešanico prestavimo v skledo in procesiramo preostanek čičerke ter dodamo v skledo. Ko je bulgur kuhan, ga dobro odcedimo in dodamo k mešanici. Začinimo s soljo, poprom in čilijem in zgostimo z moko in drobtinami. Oblikujemo majhne burgerje. V ponvi segrejemo olje in popečemo burgerje približno 2 minuti na vsaki strani do zlato rjave barve. Postržemo jih kot hamburger v kajzerici ali kot glavno jed s solato in nekaj guacamola.
