Strawberries for breakfast | Jagode za zajtrk

Do you know this awesome band named Tegan and Sara? I am listening to them now and can barely write, because I am singing along. just now, they are singing “There is nothing love can’t do”. And when I think of love, I think of red color, sea, hugs and strawberries!

Poznaš super bend z imenom Tegan and Sara? Trenutno ju poslušam in zraven komaj pišem, ker pojem. Ravnokar pojeta “Nič ni, kar ljubezen ne more storiti (There is nothing love can’t do)”. In ko pomislim na ljubezen, pomislim na rdečo barvo, morje, objeme in jagode!

Breakfast is really hard to make for me. I am just not hungry in the morning and everything seems too much. I don’t like big breakfast, if I wake up early, those are for lazy weekends only! I have been trying to compile a list of breakfast food, to make it easier for me, but haven’t succeeded yet. But now my sister has asked me to help her to (she is the new vegetarian in our family along with her husband, isn’t that great?).

Strawberries are one of my favourite fruits. I love the wild ones, that I planted in our garden. And a short car or bike ride away there is a farm that sells awesome and cheap strawberries for when I don’t have any on my garden. Last year we had some French girls visiting (they found us on Couchsurfing and if you would like to come to Slovenia, make sure to contact us). I served them some homegrown strawberries and they said, they were the best, they have ever tasted!

The first three recipes in the breakfast category are two shakes and a puding. All raw, vegan and gluten free.

Banana, strawberry and raspberry oat shake

This shake is high in fiber, proteins and vitamins.

1 banana

5 strawberries

5 frozen raspberries

1 tbs oat flakes

200 ml oat milk

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.

Strawberry and coconut shake

This shake is a good alternative, if you don’t like bananas. Also rich in fiber.

10 strawberries

1 tbs coconut flakes

250 ml oat milk

Method

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.

Chia seeds, banana and strawberry pudding

A good alternative for shakes and smoothies. Rich in omega-3 fatty acid and fibers.

1 banana

5 strawberries or 10 wild strawberries

1 tsp Chia seeds

150 ml oat milk

Method

Combine all ingredients but Chia seed in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth. Put in a small dish and add the Chia seeds. Leave for one hour or over night to harden.

Zajtrk mi je zelo težko pripraviti.. Zjutraj nikoli nisem lačnaa in vse se mi zdi preveč nasitno. Ne maram obilih zajtrkov, če se zbudim zgodaj, ti so le za lenobne vikende! Poskušala sem sestaviti seznam zajtrkov, da bi mi bilo lažje, vendar mi še ni uspelo. Toda zdaj me je sestra prosila, da ji pomagam pri zajtrkih (je nova vegetarijanska v naši družini skupaj z možem, ni to super?).

Jagode so ene izmed mojih najljubših sadežev. Rada imam divje, ki sem jih posadila v najinem vrtu. In kratek izlet z avtom ali kolesom pa si pri kmetiji, ki prodaja super in poceni jagode, ko jih nimam na mojem vrtu. Lani sva gostila dve francoski dekleti (našli smo se na CouchSurfingu). Postregla sem ju z domačimi jagodami in rekli sta, da so najboljše, ki sta jih kdaj poskusili!

Prvi trije recepti v kategoriji zajtrk sta dva mlečna napitka in puding. Vsi so presni, veganski in brez glutena.

Ta napitek vsebuje veliko vlaknin, beljakovin in vitaminov.

1 banana

5 jagod

5 zamrznjenih malin

1 žlica ovsenih kosmičev

200 ml ovesenega mleka

Postopek

Stresemo vse sestavine v mešalnik in zmešamo na visoki hitrosti, dokler napitek ni gladek.

 

Napitek z jagodami in kokosom

Ta napitek je dobra alternativa, če vam niso všeč banane. Prav tako je bogat z vlakninami.

10 jagod

1 žlica kokosovih kosmičev

250 ml ovsenega mleka

Postopek

Stresemo vse sestavine v mešalnik in zmešamo na visoki hitrosti, dokler napitek ni gladek.

 

Puding s chia semeni, banano in jagodami

Dobra alternativa za smutije in napitke. Bogat z omega-3 maščobnimi kislinami in vlakni.

1 banana

5 jagod ali 10 divjih jagod

1 čajna žlička Chia semen

150 ml ovsenega mleka

Postopek

Stresemo vse sestavine brez chia semen v mešalnik in zmešamo na visoki hitrosti, dokler napitek ni gladek. Prelijemo v majhno posodo in dodamo chia semena. Pustimo eno uro ali čez noč, da se strdi.

    I love smoothies for breakfast! They are so refreshing yet satisfying. Adding oats is a great way to get a little protein and extra fiber.

      Thank you for stopping by Laura! I agree, smoothies are the best! I am trying different combinations now, adding oats, Chia seeds, coconut, Goji berries, spinach. Will post new recipes soon ;)
